Blog blocked over HK vigil
BEIJING - A mainland microblogger who had more than four million followers had his microblog taken down by censors. The blogger had posted a photo that some internet users linked to the candle-light vigil in Hong Kong Monday night on the 23rd anniversary of the Tiananmen Square crackdown.
Sun Jie, a grass-roots blogger in his 20s, based in Qingdao, uses the online name Zuoyeben.
The last entry he posted was a photograph a friend had sent him from Hong Kong. It showed a large crowd of people at night.
The blog then disappeared from the web. 'The post didn't contain any radical content,' the blogger said. 'It's not illegal'.
