Li group project set for release

Cheung Kong (Holdings) is set to release the first phase of its Laguna Verde residential development in Hunghom following recent strong buying in the housing sector.

Cheung Kong executive director Katherine Hung Siu-lin yesterday said the company also had obtained pre-sale consent for the first phase of its The GreenWood development and would release it shortly.

Cheung Kong would announce details of the coming sale, including the number and price of units in the first-batch sale, next Friday.

Deputy-chairman Victor Li Tzar-kuoi earlier had said units of The GreenWood would be priced about $8,000 per square foot.

The project is being jointly developed by Cheung Kong and China Light and Power. When complete, it will consist of 25 towers in phases with a total gross floor area of 4.1 million sq ft.

The GreenWood, comprising 741 apartments, will be spread over five blocks. Unit sizes will range from 467 sq ft to 1,550 sq ft.

Ms Hung said The GreenWood phase would include a club house with a total gross floor area of 140,000 sq ft, and three outdoor swimming pools with a total area of 57,000 sq ft. Monthly management fee is initially fixed about $1.90 per sq ft.
