Jardine Ship Management has promoted Captain Suresh Prabhakar to the position of general manager.

He was at sea for nearly 17 years, starting as a deck cadet with Shipping Corporation of India and later joining Indo-China Steam Navigation and Jardine Ship Management in 1979. Since coming ashore in 1993, Captain Prabhakar has been involved in all aspects of the company's operations. In 1992, he qualified as a master of business administration at the University of Maine.
