Selective discount

I am a local Chinese woman married to a British man.

We were recently attracted by a special offer from Star Cruises, which promises that 'every passenger is our personal guest'. The cruise that interested us went to Hainan and Vietnam and we decided to book.

When I made inquiries about the booking I was asked by the clerk for the nationality of my husband. I was then told that while Chinese permanent residents of the SAR with a China travel document could get the advertised discount, my husband would have to pay double.

Friends of ours who are also not in possession of this travel document were told the same thing. Would Star Cruises like to comment on this policy?
