Hundreds call toxic-cream hotline

More than 300 people contacted the Department of Health hotline yesterday morning over news that two skin-whitening creams, Rosedew and La Rose Blanche, had been found to contain high levels of mercury. Health officials arranged for 20 callers to undergo screening tests, and results are due next week. The hotline number is 2545 6182.
