PDA Personal Digital Assistant. Normally the term used to refer to a hand-held organiser with address book, calendar and note-taking software.

GPRS General Packet Radio Service. A data-communication standard that is faster than other mobile-phone services.

Palm OS A pen-based operating system originally developed by Palm Computing, but which also runs PDAs sold by Handspring, Sony, Samsung and others. Most programs written for the Palm OS will run on any Palm OS based-PDA.
