Health services meet international standards

Hong Kong has continued to satisfy internationally accepted health indices such as infant and maternal mortality rates and life expectancy in comparison with the rest of the world, Department of Health consultant Tse Lai-yin said. Dr Tse, who was speaking as part of a public health campaign, said the indices reflected substantial improvements in public health infrastructure, medical care, public education and better hygiene over the past decades.
