Isola Bar & Grill, the newest restaurant by the Va Bene Group, is scheduled to open tomorrow in Central's Two IFC. The 200-seat restaurant covers more than 7,000 square feet spread over two floors, including an outdoor terrace. The chef is Gianni Caprioli, formerly a private chef for the Agnellis of Fiat. Caprioli's menu includes baked, breaded buffalo mozzarella with walnuts and sweet cherry tomatoes, marinated tuna with capers and mint-flavoured crushed ice, rigatoni with lobster in tomato sauce, tagliata of beef sirloin with anchovy sauce and oven-roasted red onions, and lemon cream with cherry compote and caramelised onions.
