Exceed your grape expectations

Tinnie Chow

You say you love wine, but do you know the difference between red and white?

If your answer is red and green grapes, you're mostly right, but if you want to be known as a true oenophile, you'll be quick to add that white wine can be made from red grapes by peeling the skin.

And where does one obtain this kind of knowledge? Cafe Deco Group's resident wine guide Simon Tam is getting ready to walk guests through a tasting of five white wines tomorrow night at One bar+grill in Exchange Square One, starting at 6pm. As part of the educational series Grape Expectations, the wine consultant will explain wine lingo and outline key characteristics of each wine and grape variety.

While you learn the ropes, a food sampling plate will be specially prepared to go with the wines at $100 each, and expect to pay $150 per head for the wine.
