The Diamond Trading Company (DTC), the world's leading diamond company, celebrated the launch of the first DTC Forevermark - a mark inscribed on diamonds as a guarantee to clients - with a star-studded party at the Grand Hyatt Ballroom.

The party kicked off with a dance performance by the Hong Kong Ballet, followed by a dazzling jewellery show. The unveiling ceremony was officiated by Nicky Oppenheimer, chairman of De Beers Group, and Gary Ralfe, chairman of DTC, with actress Michelle Yeoh Choo Kheng,

who was given a pair of Forevermarked diamonds totalling two carats and bearing the serial numbers 1 and 2.

Former Miss Hong Kong Sonija Kwok Sin-lei wore a one-carat diamond inscribed with her birth date as the serial number. Other VIPs included South African consul-general Mario George Masher, Michelle Ong, Pansy Ho Chiu-king and actress Maggie Cheung Ho-yee.
