If you enjoy it, you're probably good at it

Everyone has their own talents and abilities. We shouldn't discriminate against others.

Take students and teachers for example. Some students are good at mathematics while others are good at English.

Some teachers are good at science so they teach the subject.

Different people have different virtues. Even people who are facing difficulties still have their merits.

We should respect others and appreciate their strengths and kindness.

Thanks for your letter, Rita. There is a lot to be said for playing to your strengths. If we're good at something, we tend to enjoy it which means that we do it more often - and therefore we get even better at it!

While it's important to get a good all-round education - and be proficient in both arts and sciences - as you get older you'll have the opportunity to specialise. This means that you will be able to choose subjects and topics that you're good at and are of interest to you.

Finding out what you're good at is an important step towards understanding yourself. If you're ever stuck just ask yourself: Am I happy doing this? Do I enjoy it? And if the answer is yes, you probably have a natural talent in this area.
