Steven Lam Tsz-fung and Tiffany Chan Tsz-ching fired stunning opening rounds at the Mizuno Winter Junior Tournament at Kau Sai Chau's South Course yesterday to take sizeable leads in their respective divisions. Lam, who celebrated his fifteenth birthday last week, couldn't have asked for a better start to his day by holing his approach shot to the first hole for an eagle. The St Joseph's College student carded a further seven birdies in his round of six-under-par 63, the only blemish coming at the 11th where he three-putted for double bogey. Chan, 14, was equally sharp on the greens, making seven birdies in her round of 64.
