Pair saved from drowning in Sai Kung

Two men were saved from drowning while swimming yesterday at a Sai Kung beach. The pair - with the surnames Lam and Chan, and both 24 - had hiked with two other friends to Ham Tin, where the men went swimming off a beach near Tai Wan. They got into trouble when a series of strong waves tore into the beach at about 2pm. The pair were saved by nearby surfers and later flown by helicopter to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital.
