Prebble gets the best out of Dancer

The British horseman's roll continued with Brett Prebble taking charge with Fantastic Dancer to register the gelding's breakthrough victory in the Williams Cup (1,650m). Fantastic Dancer has run well since Woods switched him to a diet of dirt racing, but the win would have been a relief to connections after 23 prior runs for just two placings. Prebble's ride had everything to do with the win, though, as he didn't allow Fantastic Dancer the luxury he had enjoyed in recent starts of settling wherever he found himself, then running on late with the race all over. 'I didn't want him giving so much start, and then I got going to the outside on him a little early because he is so one-paced,' Prebble said. 'He can't stop and start in a race, he needs to maintain his gallop once you get him on his way and he was able to do that today.'
