The perception that vocational training is inferior to a university education is both unjust and detrimental to the economy. Vocational careers support industry growth and social mobility, both of which our city needs a lot more of.
Halfway into Hong Kong’s 50 years of transition, the city is again at a crossroads as we struggle to find a way out of the pandemic. Our ability to break the deadlock, bring back talent and upgrade our role as a gateway to China will set the course for the next 25 years.
With borders still closed, Hong Kong can turn to digital marketing to export its unique culture to the world, following in the footsteps of South Korea’s successful K-wave.
