chuchu59 - The "kiss of death" perhaps. Beijing must stop voicing their support openly for a CE with such low popularity ratings, or be perceived as out of touch with Hong Kong people.

ssimcs01 - I guess that's all that matters to C. Y. - that Beijing is behind him. People like Zhang Dejiang would go a long way towards building trust with Hong Kong people by minding their own business and keeping their opinions about Hong Kong to themselves.

bmr - I'd be nervous if Beijing was behind me. Surely it's better to see the knife coming.
