Ed Sheeran’s Hong Kong shows in doubt after cycling injury leaves singer with arm in a cast
“A visit to my doctors confirmed fractures in my right wrist and left elbow that will leave me unable to perform live concerts for the immediate future,” Sheeran announced on his social media accounts earlier today.
“Sadly, this means that the following shows will not be able to go ahead as planned: Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong. I’m waiting to see how the healing progresses before we have to decide on shows beyond that. Please stay tuned for more details.”
The post added: “PS – Ed isn’t typing this as he has both arms casted/bandaged.”
Sheeran is dependant on his right arm to perform; his current Divide world tour – that has already taken him to Europe, the US and Latin America – features him solo onstage with just his guitar.

After the planned Hong Kong shows, the Divide tour is scheduled to move to Manila (November 7), Jakarta (November 9), Singapore (November 11 and 12), Kuala Lumpur (November 14), Bangkok (November 16) and Mumbai (November 19).
