Canto-pop singer-actress Karen Mok celebrates English-language album

Celebrating 20 years in show business next year, Canto-pop singer-actress Karen Mok Man-wai will have a lot on her plate.

January will see the release of her first English-language jazz album and the start of her concert tour. Her new action film, - the directorial debut of Hollywood star Keanu Reeves - is scheduled for release in the summer.

The star had just finished filming music videos for her album in London when she dropped into Beijing on Tuesday for the launch of Italian fashion house Bally's new collection.

"Next year will be a year well worth celebrating. Many of my dreams will finally come true," she said. "To have my own English album, for one thing, is something I've longed to do since I entered show business."

Although it already felt like mid-winter in the capital, Mok turned up for the event in light spring clothing. She said she didn't feel cold, having survived 17 hours shooting videos on the streets of London.
