TEDx climate change event on the crisis and potential solutions will have ‘something for everyone’
- Part of the TED Countdown global initiative, TEDxTinHau Countdown in Hong Kong will be both an online and in-person event
- Speakers include young climate change activist Lance Lau, sustainable travel expert Ollie Hass and plant-based chef Peggy Chan

With the coronavirus pandemic taking over most peoples’ minds – and much of the media – it’s easy for other important issues to be neglected. An event in Hong Kong on October 17 is making sure climate change remains in the public eye.
TEDxTinHau Countdown – part of TED Countdown, a recently launched global initiative that aims to champion and accelerate solutions to the climate crisis – is an online and in-person event that provides the opportunity to hear new ideas and, importantly, put some good climate habits into action, event co-chair Victoria Gilbert says.
Socially distanced workshops as well as Earth-friendly lunches will also be held. Gilbert says people are encouraged to share climate action stories and ideas on social media by tagging posts #JoinTheCountdown or #CountdownHK.

Health and safety at the event is a priority.
