Mum knows best at well-stocked store

As one of Hong Kong's original baby superstores, Bumps to Babes offers a vast range of goods for expectant mothers, newborns, toddlers and children up to the age of eight. With more than 2,000 items in its Horizon Plaza outlet, parents are spoilt for choice.

Bumps to Babes stocks top European, American and Australian brands, covering hardware such as pushchairs, nursery furniture and car seats from Quinny, Bugaboo, Maclaren and phil & teds, with new products including the latest Maclaren Quest model now suitable for newborns.

Other new products include the Oxo Tot Sprout Chair, which takes a child from six months to about five years and comes in numerous bright colours. Bathing accessories include those from Mamas & Papas, whose ergonomically designed bath supports a newborn and sitting baby. There is also a wide range of bath toys for older babies and children.

Feeding accessories from brands such as Avent, Dr Brown's and Tum Tum include bottles and bibs, starter feeder and cutlery sets, lunch boxes and even organic snacks.

Nappies are one of the biggest costs in the first few years of a child's life and the store stocks reusable nappies and eco-friendly disposables that are gentler on the environment, in addition to well-known disposable varieties.

Meanwhile, organic bath and body products, from Mambino for expectant mums and Earth Friendly Baby for their offspring, offer pampering for stretched and sensitive skins.

Hundreds of toys that encourage children to learn through play include alphabet flashcards, puzzles, games and role-play items from Early Learning Centre and LeapFrog.

Outdoor fun is covered with items such as tricycles and the Maxi Micro Scooter T-Bar.

The store also stocks baby and children's wear and, with the cooler season approaching, autumn/winter collections are now in stock. Winter essentials include sleeping bags from Grobag and boots from Start-rite.

Pregnant mums can keep warm with a new collection of maternity wear from brands such as Bravado, Bebe2be and Sono Vaso, with some pieces doubling as nursing tops.
