Ever wanted to recreate the passion between Tony Leung Chiu-wai and Maggie Cheung Man-yuk in the Wong Kar-wai classic In the Mood for Love? Then pack your cheongsam and Brylcreem and head to the Eaton Hotel, in Yau Ma Tei.
This hip hotel has a Valentine’s Day package that includes 30 minutes in a photography studio set up to evoke 1960s Hong Kong. The deal covers Eaton’s larger Studio and Salon rooms (both of which have bathtubs), breakfast for two, churro sundaes at Twist & Buckle churro specialists and a bubble bath.
You can use your own phone to take the pictures or pay an extra HK$250 (US$32) for use of a Polaroid camera and two photographs from it.

The Upper House has teamed up with Asia Miles to create a swish Cathay Pacific experience. In your Studio 80 island-view room you’ll find two Cathay Pacific First Class amenity kits, with dark grey button-up pyjamas made by PYE and amenities from Bamford.
Also included are breakfast at Salisterra, a bottle of house champagne, a Nomad caviar set with condiments and HK$1,000 of dining credit. It’s pricey at HK$5,980 per room (HK$2,990 per person) but you also earn 1,196 Asia Miles.

If your dog is as much your soulmate as your partner, the Hyatt Centric, in North Point, has the Valentine’s Day staycation for you.
The Dogcation package, running from February 12 to 14, has been put together with Hong Kong Dog Rescue (anyone who adopts from HKDR between February 14 and 28 goes into a draw for a free staycation). Along with a pet bed, treats and a doggy hotpot meal pack, you’ll get a goody bag packed with vouchers – 20 per cent off Blue Cross LovePet insurance, a free check-up and 10-minute doggy massage at Momo Massage, a HK$200 voucher for grooming at Paw Palace.
Couples who book without a four-legged friend get a free gift bag from The Body Shop valued at HK$350.

The Mandarin Oriental is offering a Neal’s Yard Remedies staycation package. The deal starts from HK$2,288 and has so many extras, your room is practically free.
You can stay for a full 24 hours, and it includes a Neal’s Yard Age-Defy Skin Ritual gift, valued at HK$615 (club room and suite guests get a Neal’s Yard Frankincense skincare kit worth HK$755, a Bloomy aromatherapy diffuser and bath salt workshop at the spa).
You’ll also get breakfast for two and a three-course in-room dinner.

The All You Need is Love staycation (available from now until February 23) at pink-tinged The Langham includes a room upgrade (from a courtyard view to a city view), a rose petal bath ritual, a bottle of red wine and an in-room feast from the Bostonian Seafood & Grill.
The three-course dinner includes the duck fois gras, lobster bisque, beef tenderloin and peach crumble. Get in before the hotel becomes a designated quarantine hotel in March.

Looking for something a bit more racy? Then Wong Chuk Hang boutique hotel The Arca should do the trick.

Couples and singles are catered for at the Sheraton Tung Chung, which has two Valentine’s Day deals.
The first – the Beyond Romance Staycation Package – is aimed at twosomes and includes a room decorated with floral panels and pink helium balloons, a Moët & Chandon afternoon tea set, a mini bottle of Moët Imperial, a buffet breakfast for two and HK$500 of dining credit.

The Ritz-Carlton’s 520 I Love You package has been designed to sweep your special someone off their feet. It’s not just the views from your Deluxe Victoria Harbour room that will have your heart fluttering, you’ll find a fresh bouquet of flowers, a heart-shaped dessert and a bottle of champagne.
Later, you can enjoy a lavish bath ritual and a journey through the constellations using a galaxy projector light (which you can then take with you to recreate the experience at home).
