Breathable, sustainable, odour-eating - and stylish - shoes from Geox; something for everyone at J.Crew

Italian shoemaker has married finesse with innovation in its Newdo trainer collection, writes Abid Rahman

Breathability is not something we think of when it comes to footwear. After all, everyone wants to believe their feet don't stink. Italian shoemaker Geox is a little less embarrassed about such things and has become the master at making breathable shoes and, with its latest Newdo trainer collection (above; HK$1,990 per pair), it has added a touch of stylish finesse to the innovative fabrics and design it employs. Best of all, Newdo is an environmentally sustainable line of shoes, so as well as looking cool and smelling great, your conscience is clear, too. Geox is in IFC Mall, Central.

One-stop shop A lot of guys hate clothes shopping, so the shift into a new season and the need to update or replenish the wardrobe is a serious headache. That's why brands such as J.Crew are a godsend. Not only is it the go-to place for basics, casual and formal, but if you look a bit harder there are one or two nifty pieces there too, such as this workwear-inspired stripy blue shirt (above right; HK$850) and the safari-inspired light jacket with oversized pockets (above left; HK$2,050). J.Crew is at 9 On Lan Street, Central.
