Alison Chan shares her mum-to-be experience #stylescmp

EVENT ROGER VIVIER’S NEW BOUTIQUE OPENING
WHERE LEE GARDENS TWO

HAPPENINGS: French fashion house Roger Vivier recently opened its third boutique in Hong Kong, located at Lee Gardens.

To celebrate the opening of the extravagantly designed two-storey boutique, the brand introduced limited editions of two of its designs – the U-Look Gommette ballerinas and the Belle de Nuit pumps. Designers played with black-and-white stripes on the flats to give them a twist, while two bi-colour options in patent leather are available for the 3.5-inch pumps.

Celebrities and fashionistas flocked to the opening to check out the autumn/winter collection. We spotted actresses Cherie Chung and Rosamund Kwan, models Kathy Chow, Lisa S. and Janet Ma, with her daughters Kayla and Irisa Wong, and socialites Victoria Tang and Alison Chan at the event.

CHIC CHAT with Victoria Tang

What are some special-edition fashion items in your collection?

Limited-edition shoes, ones that may not be wearable. I have a pair of Vivienne Westwood with really high heels from way back – the ones Naomi Campbell tripped over.

If you had to pick, flats or heels?

Flats. I’d rather [be able to walk] than look pretty. I’m very practical. If I run, I can run faster. I wear Roger Vivier to work every day. They are not just any flats – but flats you can go out for lunch in and also meet people.

How would you describe your personal style?

My style depends on my mood and whatever makes me feel comfortable.

What are your style tips for autumn?

Metallic – but not in a vintage way. Cyber – but not in a tacky way. I’m looking for a metallic dress which fits that bill, but I haven’t found one yet.
