The luxury watchmaker lent his creativity this year to a fountain pen called RMS05, which features a complicated mechanism to automatically deploy the nib. The designer created a special escapement for the pen inspired by clock movements - with a simple push on the top of the pen, the mechanism can be activated to extend the nib. Priced at about US$105,000, the fountain is crafted in NTPT carbon - a hi-tech material known for its rigidity and light weight.
