HAPPENINGS: Rihanna’s Fifth Annual Diamond Ball took place in downtown Manhattan in mid-September. The gala was organised to benefit the Clara Lionel Foundation which Rihanna founded in 2012 to support girls’ education globally and humanitarian aid programmes – particularly addressing the urgent effects of climate change.
About 600 guests attended the charity event, including models Karlie Kloss, Shanina Shaik and Devon Windsor, actress Paula Patton, and rappers 2 Chainz, 21 Savage and Cardi B – who turned up in blush-toned Georges Hobeika couture.
