Han’s big break came in the role of Da-kyung, the young mistress in Korea's remake of Western hit, Doctor Foster.
The remake, titled The World of the Married, is the most-watched drama in Korea, with the last episode hitting a rating of 24.33 per cent, breaking the previous record of 23.78 per cent held by the last episode of Sky Castle since last year. As the drama ratings skyrocket, so has public interest in Han, who was already popular on Instagram for her uniquely feminine features. Here are five things to know about the newcomer.

She arrived in Seoul with less than US$250 in her pocket
According to an article on Daum, in a since-deleted blog post from 2018 Han claimed that she came to Seoul alone at just 19 years old, with about 300,000 won (US$247) in her pocket. She then started working part time to support herself, bringing us to our next point.

According to Daum, Han once worked in a beer joint in the trendy Gangnam district, claiming on her past blogs that she “worked from the moment she opened her eyes to sunrise”. Despite the hard times, Han “does not regret this as it made her who she is today”.

She has had multiple tattoos
Although we cannot be sure if she has removed them or is merely adept at strategically concealing them, Han has previously showed off photos of her inked arm on social media. While the photos have since been removed, they have been shared widely on various community sites. This came as a shock to many fans, as the actress is now known for her feminine image.
She is a natural beauty
Fans have gushed over her looks which seem to have remained the same ever since her high school days – as shown in these photos. In the photos, she looks almost identical to her current self, proving that her beauty was given by the gods.

She appeared in four K-pop music videos before her silver screen debut
Han had previously landed roles starring in music videos by hit K-pop acts including SHINee’s Tell Me What to Do (2016) and That Girl by Jung Yong-hwa (2017).
