Many might be surprised to learn that Taylor-Joy has a rather multicultural background. Although she was born in Miami, Florida, Taylor-Joy moved to Argentina’s capital Buenos Aires soon after she was born. Her Argentinian-born Scottish father and English-Spanish mother raised their daughter to speak both Spanish and English.

Her Argentinian heritage makes Taylor-Joy the first Latina to ever win the Golden Globe for best actress in her category.

She’s also a Londoner
