A film or TV character’s wardrobe can often be just as important as the production’s script. And for luxury brands, it can be a great opportunity for stars to showcase their new designs.

Such is the case with Netflix’s K-drama The Glory. In the show, Song Hye-kyo plays Moon Dong-eun, a primary school teacher who’s out for revenge against her high school bullies. Moon dresses in a dark colour palette and subtle silhouettes in the series, lending her outfits a distinctly ominous feel as she carries out her punishments.

Moon’s monochromatic look may be deceptively simple, yet in the drama’s sixth episode, she is seen toting a black Fendi Peekaboo ISeeU Mini, according to fashion website Preview.

The bag’s appearance shouldn’t come as a surprise for viewers though. As one of the top faces in luxury, Song was named Fendi’s global ambassador in 2021.

So, aside from the Peekaboo ISeeU Mini shown in The Glory, what are Song’s go-to Fendi bags?

Song’s flair for neutral dressing was evident when she sat front row at the 2022 Fendi haute couture show in Paris last year, per Preview. She went for a fitted check blazer paired with a mini skirt, and styled it with a Peekaboo ISeeU Petite Brown Houndstooth Wool bag. At the event, the 41-year-old took a picture with LVMH chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault.

2. Fendi Baguette Bag in white leather

Last year, Fendi celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Baguette Bag with a fashion show in New York. Designed in 1997 by Silvia Venturini Fendi, the granddaughter of Adele and Edoardo Fendi, the bag was a style staple and the preferred arm candy of Carrie Bradshaw – aka Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex and the City. To this day, the bag is still so popular that Fendi collaborated with SJP to create an exclusive line of sequinned Fendi baguette bags, according to Elle.

Song, who looked gorgeous in a black buttoned dress, attended the show and carried her own Baguette Bag in white leather. She was also spotted sitting next to fellow actor Lee Min-ho.

It’s not only the brand’s bags that Song can pull off. In 2021, she visited the Italian label’s pop-up in the Galleria Department Store in Seoul dressed in head-to-toe Fendi. She wore a cashmere jumper and denim shorts and accessorised the look with a pair of gold hair clips, per Preview.

She finished her casual OOTD with a pink leather clutch and fuzzy white sandals from the Fendi First line.

4. Fendi Peekaboo ISeeU Bags and Stretch Bag

Also designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi, the Peekaboo hit the runways in 2008 and debuted in stores in 2009, according to Purse Blog. When slightly open, the bag offers a peek of its interior, a subtle reference to the brand’s playful personality.
