From once palatial residence to another describes the life of Jennifer Gates, the eldest daughter of Microsoft founder and centibillionaire Bill Gates. She and her multimillionaire husband, Olympic equestrian Nayel Nassar, recently bought a US$51 million home to welcome their first child. The couple announced on March 4 that she had given birth to a daughter.

The sprawling triplex penthouse in 443 Greenwich Street, Tribeca, New York’s celebrity area that’s home to A-listers and the affluent, was formerly owned by seven-time Formula One champ Lewis Hamilton before he instead moved into a US$40 million penthouse two minutes up the road, per Business Insider.

While this may be a far cry from the US$150 million tech-laden mansion that Jennifer and her siblings Phoebe and Rory Gates grew up in, the new three-floor luxury pad certainly possesses its own distinct charm. It has six bedrooms, six full bathrooms and two half bathrooms.

The young couple live on the topmost floor that has an astonishing 3,400 sq ft of outdoor space. The breathtaking glass-walled terrace features an outdoor kitchen, dining space, plenty of seating and a private plunge pool.

The ceremony that took place in October 2021 was a lavish affair. The US$2 million otherworldly fairy-tale wedding of the tech heiress to the Egyptian Olympian saw Coldplay as the wedding band, while a two-Michelin-starred restaurant was in charge of the catering.

Gates and Nassar announced the birth of their daughter on March 4 on Instagram. She wrote, “Sending love from our healthy little family,” when sharing the rapturous news with her half-a-million followers.

She will inherit only US$10 million from her parents

It is no secret that despite his vast amount of wealth, Bill Gates has set aside a paltry sum of just US$10 million each as an inheritance for his three kids.

Son-in-law Nassar is worth US$100 million. He and Jennifer founded the Evergate Stables, an equestrian facility in Florida.
