K-dramas are famous for their swoon-worthy love stories. But nothing quite says “I love you” like a sparkling wedding ring as the ultimate declaration of romance, right?

From dazzling diamonds to unique designs, here are some of the best wedding rings from Korean celebrity couples over the years:

1. Gong Hyo-jin and Kevin Oh – Piaget

Gong Hyo-jin, famous for her roles in romantic comedies such as It’s Okay, That’s Love and When the Camellia Blooms recently had her own romantic celebration, tying the knot with singer-songwriter Kevin Oh after two years of dating, per Koreaboo.

They celebrated their private wedding in New York in October 2022, with Gong’s “Just Married!” Instagram post showing off their wedding rings and gifts from the Swiss luxury watch and jewellery brand Piaget.

Oh picked the stunning “Possession Ring”, which features a distinctive diamond. The pink gold diamond ring and the white gold diamond ring chosen by the couple are priced roughly around US$2,000 and US$2,300 each, according to KBizoom.

They also picked Piaget’s “Polo Date” watches matching the case with the colour of their wedding bands and coupling with same green alligator leather straps. Gong’s is a blue print steel model priced around US$10,500 and Oh’s 18k pink gold model is around US$27,250, per the same source.

2. Son Dam-bi and Lee Kyou-hyuk – Bulgari

The co-star of the drama When the Camellia Blooms Son Dam-bi also got married in 2022 to a former national long-track speed skater and World Cup medallist Lee Kyou-hyuk. The lovebirds made it official by exchanging vows with the symbolic B.Zero1 rings from Bulgari and also took part in a special wedding photo session for the March 2022 issue of Elle Wedding, which featured the brand’s gorgeous wedding jewellery line-up, perfectly matching the occasion as the collection holds the meaning of new, infinite beginnings.

They also shared their intimate proposal moments on screen via SBS’ Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny show. Lee gifted Son his most glorious speed skating world championships gold medal as a necklace, per Newsdirectory. How romantic!

3. Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon – Chaumet

When Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon got married in January 2022, they doubled the surprise by announcing a baby on the way, too. The wedding rings that the couple chose to celebrate the special moment after five years of dating are from none other than the French luxury jewellery and watch brand, Chaumet.

According to Yahoo News, besides picking Oscar de la Renta and Monique Lhullier for wedding dresses, the couple chose the stunning Liens Évidence wedding bands, with “lien” meaning “link” in English. The price range may differ depending on the material used but their rings are known to be worth around US$1,940 and US$1,500.

After welcoming their baby boy in May 2022, Park is set to return to the screen in a romantic comedy tentatively titled Doctor Slump, set to air later this year, per Allkpop.

4. Lee Bo-young and Ji Sung – Cartier

Actress Lee Bo-young and actor Ji Sung have long been a K-drama power couple, who have their 10th wedding anniversary coming up this September. Lee has been in the industry since 2003, recently appearing in the drama Agency and Mine. Meanwhile, Ji Sung debuted in 1999 and is a veteran actor with roles in Protect the Boss and Kill Me, Heal Me. According to PhilStarLife, the two first met while filming for SBS drama The Last Dance with Me in 2004.

When they said “I do” after seven years of dating, their marriage made plenty of headlines. They showed their commitment to each other at their wedding press conference and in a Grazia’s wedding pictorial. According to Korean newspaper Maeil, their wedding rings turned out to be “Love Rings” from the French high-end luxury brand Cartier.

They married in September 2013 and now have a daughter and a son together. Ji often shares sweet family moments on his social media, too.

5. Lee Min-jung and Lee Byung-hun – Chopard

Lee Min-jung and Lee Byung-hun are also OG K-drama couples, with Min-jung appearing in dramas like Once Again and Boy Over Flowers and Byung-hun starring in Our Blue and Mr. Sunshine.

Not only did they have their private wedding ceremony at the lavish Seoul Grand Hyatt Hotel in August 2013 but it was also reported by Allkpop that their wedding cost almost US$93,000 in total, with Min-jung’s two dresses alone accumulating to around US$76,000.

For wedding rings, they went with Chopard’s Happy Bride collection, with a heart-shaped diamond at the centre of the ring. According to Hankook Ilbo, the ring design was one of a kind as they were the only pair in Korea at the time, worth a staggering US$38,000. Now that they have a son together, it seems they’re not just a happy couple but a happy family, too.
