Inside Hong Kong heiress Emily Lam-Ho’s fabulous life: the Empact28 founder attends Gucci fashion shows, shows off Chloé and Hermès bags, calls Michelle Yeoh ‘auntie’ and hangs with idol Jeon Somi
Emily Lam-Ho is living proof that a girl can truly have it all.
“Having prominent parents is a double-edged sword,” Lam-Ho told us last year. “People do constantly compare me, but I think it’s important not to compare myself because they succeeded in their own right, whereas I’m paving my own road.”
Despite comparisons with her family, Lam-Ho’s dedication to her environmental mission sets her apart. Married to venture capitalist Kent Ho, son of former Sing Tao chairman Charles Ho, she spearheads Empact28, an investment platform supporting female-led start-ups, and other green initiatives, including 8Shades and EcoDrive.
Today, the 38-year-old gracefully balances green activism with an opulent lifestyle. Here’s a sneak peek inside the fabulous life of the heiress who’s made a name for herself.
Emily Lam-Ho’s love for fabulous designer clothes
As a businesswoman and public figure, Lam-Ho defies expectations by consistently surprising us with her fashion choices.
For instance, the mother-of-two was spotted in a vivacious Valentino sequin coat and matching gold trousers during her trip to Paris. On another occasion, she made a fashion-forward choice with a white hooded minidress by Ferragamo at a La Prairie x Art Basel event this year.
Her covetable handbag and shoe collections
The accessory comes with a price tag of US$2,850. Lam-Ho matched the look with a pair of colourful Nama trainers from the brand.
On another occasion in May, Lam-Ho wore the two-toned Prada Galleria bag.
Her lavish holidays
This eco warrior seems to find solace amid nature’s wonders. She’s posted photos of herself in Palawan, Philippines, which is known for its pristine beaches and lush landscapes.
Lam-Ho’s daily outings can range from visiting the snow-capped mountains of Aspen, Colorado, to gadding about Hong Kong or enjoying Disneyland.
She appreciates good art
The Columbia University graduate is also a prominent figure in Hong Kong’s bustling art scene, attending events like the Hong Kong Art Basel and ReStart Lacma party, and having private viewings at Hauser & Wirth.
A true socialite, Lam-Ho is also known for her fabulous dinners and soirées. With vibrant decorations and exquisite tableware from Milan’s La Double J, Parisian Astier de Villatte, Hermès and Lane Crawford, as seen on her Instagram, each of her events is a celebration of style and sophistication.
Her A-list friends
Given her social status and strong network, Lam-Ho has rubbed shoulders with a lot of famous names, but some have left a lasting mark. This year she got the chance to meet her role model Stella McCartney, who had a significant impact in her life, as she told us last year in an interview.
Hollywood A-listers like Kathy Hilton are also known to be in her circle too. The reality TV star often leaves heart emojis on Lam-Ho’s posts, signalling what could be the start of a more solid friendship. We hope, anyway …
