Smith himself is worth US$25 million, per Celebrity Net Worth.
He once saved Kate Winslet from a fire
A few days after they first met, Smith rescued Winslet and her children from her previous marriages, Mia Threapleton and Joe Mendes, from a fire. They were holidaying on Branson’s private Necker Island when the house they were staying in was struck by lightning and caught on fire. That’s when Winslet knew, “this was the person I was supposed to follow through life”, as she told The Telegraph.
The couple’s son, 10-year-old Bear Blaze Winslet, is named for that stormy night.
What does Edward Abel Smith do for work?
Before his marriage to the Mare of Easttown star in December 2012, Smith served as the head of marketing promotion and astronaut experience at Virgin Galactic, per Elle. He is now a stay-at-home dad, according to People, with Winslet elaborating to The New York Times, “He’s vegan, and does yoga, breath work and cold water swims.” He also helps the Primetime Emmy-winning actress run her lines at home despite his dyslexia.
His name used to be Ned Rocknroll
