Where to stay for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Singapore: 8 luxury hotels for out-of-town fans, from Ritz-Carlton Millenia and Hilton Singapore Orchard, to Marina Bay Sands and Artyzen’s themed package

From The Barracks Hotel Sentosa to Marina Bay Sands, here’s where you can stay in Singapore during Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. Photo: Handout
For the fortunate few who have managed to secure tickets (and flights!) to see the highly anticipated Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Singapore, our team at Style has hand-picked a selection of the city state’s finest new luxury establishments – from buzzy new urban escapes to a chic Sentosa island resort – designed to amp up your concert experience to a whole new level.

After all, if you’re going to attend the most celebrated (and profitable) tour of all time, it only seems fitting that you do it in style.

1. Artyzen Singapore

Newly opened in November 2023, Artyzen Singapore embodies the urban oasis energy the city state is known for. Structured like a vertical garden with lush foliage dotting its balconies, the new haven is located just off Orchard Road, the city’s premier shopping district. The 20-storey hotel’s abundance of flora and fauna pays tribute to Singapore’s “Garden City” vision with delicate design touches nodding to Singaporean Straits Chinese culture.

Those seeking a tropical escape not far from buzzy city life will notice a couple of charming contrasts. There’s the cosy garden rooftop hugging a 25-metre-long “floating pool” with a see-through glass floor (acrophobes, beware). Meanwhile, traditional art pieces adorn each of Artyzen’s 142 rooms, all of which open out to a balcony with views of the Singapore skyline or its low hills.

The bright and airy Cafe Quenino transforms into a lively lounge by night, serving up local delicacies made for an international palate in an elegant fine-dining atmosphere under the supervision of chef Victor Liong, best known for his Australian-Chinese fusion at Melbourne’s legendary Lee Ho Fook.

The Terrific Swiftie package, priced at S$8,989 (US$6,700) – of course – includes a four-day, three-night stay in Artyzen Singapore’s Terrace Suite, which opens out into its own private garden. Not pictured: Taylor Swift-themed decorations. Photo: Handout

Award-winning hospitality is just the icing on the cake for Artyzen, which has curated two not-to-be-missed packages made especially for Taylor Swift fans, including round-trip limo rides to and from the concert and complimentary breakfasts in-suite, surrounded by Swiftie decor, no less. Prices start at S$8,989 (US$6,700) in a nod to the superstar’s birth year, 1989.

2. The Barracks Hotel Sentosa

For those seeking a luxury resort experience with a more authentic, traditional touch, look no further than The Barracks Hotel on sunny Sentosa island, housed in a former British artillery outpost over a century old. A romantic retreat away from its busy surroundings, the hotel has a variety of quieter, relaxing activities on offer, such as cultural excursions that will take you back in time by diving deep into discoveries which unveil Singapore’s rich colonial history.

Just a stone’s throw away from the beach, Barracks also boasts a hidden gem of a lap pool, tucked away within the tranquil privacy afforded by its gorgeous heritage home. Of course, no beach resort is complete without a massage and a jacuzzi – after a long day out tanning and swimming in the sun, guests can take advantage of all Sentosa has to offer by hopping over to the award-winning Oasia Spa.

Who knows, guests may very well run into Taylor Swift at the Barracks. Photo: Handout

Beyond its historic value for the intelligent traveller, however, Barracks’ exclusive location on Sentosa island may or may not put you in proximity with none other than Ms Swift herself. Given the more complicated security logistics of staying at a luxury hotel closer to the stadium or deep in the central business district, we’re betting that Taylor will choose to stay at a Sentosa property.

3. Singapore Edition

Artsier travellers with an eye for architectural design will be more than familiar with famed hotel entrepreneur Ian Schrager’s line of luxury properties, Edition Hotels, which prides itself on providing modern high-end experiences that reflect the vibe of their hotels’ surroundings. Its new Singapore property – Edition’s first in Southeast Asia – evokes the brand’s signature aesthetic and mission statement by reflecting the city’s laid-back yet extremely luxe mindset.

From greenery to floor-to-ceiling windows, the Singapore Edition exudes a sense of luxury. Photo: @singaporeedition/Instagram

This manifests in a careful curation of greenery, amplified by the finest minimalist details; a leafy conservatory, home to 300 standing and suspended plants from all across the region, contrasts with the hotel’s striking usage of white Calacutta marble. Talk about a sense of calm.

Classy and stylish, the Singapore Edition is quiet luxury as a hotel. Photo: @singaporeedition/Instagram
If quiet luxury were a hotel, this would be it. Towering windows, a glass roof and a liberal use of timber across the property shift the focus onto the building’s natural beauty: think natural light, natural colours and natural vantage points at every turn. Blurring the boundaries between interior and exterior design, this edition of the luxury brand exudes the free-spirited, open-armed energy of the perpetual tropical summer Singapore is best known for.

Far from being beige and bland though, Singapore Edition also has its fair share of colourful spaces, from its alfresco rooftop venue to the Punch Room – an Edition signature bar concept painted in a fabulous shade of Yves Klein blue. Head there to savour a punchy cocktail inspired by Southeast Asian spices, either before or after your concert.

The Hyatt-owned property is a beautiful addition to the Singapore skyline. It’s housed inside Duo, a popular development in the bustling Bugis area that hosts dozens of eateries and retail shops within its iconic exterior latticework of hexagonal windows, which hotel staff affectionately dub their honeycomb home.

There, you’ll also find one of Singapore’s most magnificent rooftop bars, Mr Stork, with 360-degree views of the city, cosy tepee tents and plenty of cute, crafty cocktails to choose from – including a Lavender Haze drink dedicated to the singer’s hit song off her 2022 album Midnights.

The hotel is also the Andaz brand’s first foray into Southeast Asia, and flies this flag proudly with a variety of offerings catering toward its vibrant cultural surroundings. Just a short walk away from popular tourist destinations Haji Lane and Sultan Mosque in Singapore’s historic Muslim quarter – better known as Kampong Gelam – Andaz also boasts in-house culinary hub Alley on 25 and its lobby bar Bar Square, which pay tribute to the flavours and vibes of Singaporean street dining.

Most importantly, Andaz is a wonderful option for Singapore’s sustainable travellers. Eco-conscious visitors will be pleased to learn all the hotel’s restaurants use vegetables sourced from a low-carbon footprint producer based in Malaysia’s Cameron Highlands, Weeds & More, which grows predominantly European varieties to reduce the need for overseas imports. Andaz is also a certified Water Efficient building, with the bathrooms now equipped with a side tap for fresh drinking water. Lastly, the hotel has taken drastic measures to go plastic-free, offering paper-wrapped snacks and glass bottles of water.
Interested guests can book directly off Andaz’s website for 10 per cent off the best available rate, while World of Hyatt members can get an additional 2% off. Photo: Handout
