Korean actress Claudia Kim has been seeing WeWork’s general manager Matthew Shampine.

What does co-working company WeWork have to offer famous female Korean celebrities?

That’s the question that emerged after rumours broke romantically linking actress Claudia Kim and Matthew Shampine – the Korean-American general manager of WeWork Korea.

Kim’s managing company Culture Depot confirmed the relationship, on August 22, saying: “The pair has recently started dating. Please support them.”

This is the second time a WeWork boss has fallen in love with a Korean celebrity. In 2018, the head of WeWork Labs Korea, Samuel Hwang, 35, tied the knot with actress Clara, 34. WeWork Labs helps facilitate the growth of start-ups.

Kim, 34, whose Korean name is Kim Soo-hyun, began forging an acting career after featuring in the drama series Brain (2011) and sitcom Standby (2012).

She rose to international stardom thanks to blockbuster Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), playing the geneticist Dr Helen Cho. Kim also appeared in the Hollywood movie Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, a spin-off from JK Rowling's hit Harry Potter franchise.

Shampine, 37, also known as Cha Min-geun, is a founding member of WeWork, which provides shared workspaces for enterprises. It was established in the US in 2010 and entered Korea in 2016.
