When 34-year-old make-up guru and YouTuber Star broke up with his 26-year-old boyfriend Schwandt after five years, the internet went crazy. Star, who had the title “wifey of Nathan” on his Twitter profile, posted an emotional video explaining the two had parted ways. “The love of my life … is no longer here every morning,” he said, adding the two were in a “state of shock”.

Schwandt and Star met on Instagram in 2014 and began dating in 2015. Star finally spilled the tea about the break-up on Instagram: “I was with someone that didn’t want to go out, didn’t want to go to strip clubs, didn’t ever want to go to the club … so it’s nice to enjoy things that you haven’t done in a while.” Rumours spread about Star rebounding with make-up artist MMMMitchell, but Star refuted that, saying: "[The] last thing I’m trying to do right now is be in a relationship with anyone. Me and MMMMitchell are really close friends.”

But heartbreak doesn’t seem to have lasted long for Hudgens. She was spotted at a Los Angeles Lakers game with Lakers player Kyle Kuzma (who was incorrectly linked to Kendall Jenner) just a week after the break-up with Butler. Sources told E! News Hudgens and Butler may get back together, saying: “They’re just shooting on two different continents and it’s a matter of distance,” the source said, explaining why the two broke up. Butler has been picked to play Elvis in Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming Elvis Presley biopic, and Hudgens is filming The Princess Switch 2 for Netflix.

Poor Pete Davidson. The 26-year-old comedian was so distraught over his break-up with singer Ariana Grande he posted a life-threatening message on Instagram, saying: “I’m doing my best to stay here for you but I actually don’t know how much longer I can last. All I’ve ever tried to do was help people. Just remember I told you so.” (The post prompted the New York City Police Department to visit the Saturday Night Live studios and check on Davidson, and the post has been deleted.)
