Kylie Jenner, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga ... which celebrity shared the weirdest coronavirus lockdown social media posts?

Despite the fact that most of the world has been dealing with the coronavirus outbreak for several months now, celebrities in the US seem to be acting as if they have been enduring self-isolation for years. Many are posting videos illustrating just how bored they are (wait until they’re on month three like the rest of us), while others are just using the time to get creative. Here are some of the different ways celebrities have chosen to deal with self-isolation.

Selena Gomez

She’s all smiles and naturally beautiful on her Instagram stories, but girl, can we talk about those grey sweatpants? Conchita has certainly taken it down several notches while sheltering in place. The actress and singer is spending a lot of time in her (albeit gorgeous) kitchen these days, posting photos of her making macaroni and cheese and several other comfort foods.

She offered words of encouragement to her fans and lists of books, films and songs she’s been enjoying. “I shared a few lists in my stories of things I’m watching, listening to and reading to keep me positive and help pass the time. Hope it helps you,” she wrote.

Ariana Grande

You know how some people rashly do their own hair and immediately regret their decision? That isn’t the case for Ariana Grande. The award-winning singer, songwriter and actress went au natural and showed off her unrelaxed curls on Twitter, prompting fans to ooh and aah over her gorgeous, tumbling locks.

Justin and Hailey Bieber

TikTok videos of the adorable couple showing off their synchronised dance moves are an understandable hit, and The Bieb even took up a dance challenge of his own song, Come Around Me (he posted seven videos in a row of that). Then there are the questionable videos, including one on April 7, where he stares into space and makes high-pitched noises to the beat of what sounds like an Alvin and the Chipmunks song. Even he comments: “ … officially lost my mind”. Calm down, Justin. It hasn’t been that long yet.

Which celebrities are helping in the fight against coronavirus?

Marvel cast members

Spending a few weeks alone seems to be getting to these actors. The Marvel cast has created several YouTube videos documenting what how they are keeping busy during the global pandemic. Chris Evans read a children’s book, Hugh Jackman gave lessons on how to properly wash your hands (yes, for 20 seconds) and Chris Hemsworth showed off his at-home gym workout (as if any of us mere mortals could master one session).

One of the better moments comes at the end of video four, when Tom Holland challenges his other cast mates to a push-up challenge (he makes them look so easy). How they react to it is what makes the video memorable.

Lady Gaga

She postponed her latest album release because of the coronavirus outbreak, but the lady is behaving very un-Gaga-like these days. She is spending time at home with her boyfriend, “playing video games and cards, and taking care of ourselves”.

“Important reminder: keep your mind as stress free as possible and your body moving,” she cautions her fans.

Kylie Jenner

Tracksuits must be the new celebrity self-isolation outfit of choice, because the Kylie Cosmetics billionaire has posted several photos of herself in an all-black get-up. In one she notes: “bored in the house and I’m in the house bored”. She isn’t generous with words of encouragement, but she does treat fans to the adorable TikTok videos she makes with Stormi Webster, her two-year-old daughter with Travis Scott, and mother, Kris Jenner, which are binge-worthy enough to get her fans through the self-quarantine.
