Kimora Lee Simmons has five kids

Kimora Lee Simmons has a big family. The model’s two daughters, Aoki and Ming, are from her marriage to ex-husband Russell Simmons. Kimora also has a son Kenzo with ex Djimon Hounsou, and another son Wolfe from her second marriage with now-ex-husband Tim Leissner, a former Goldman Sachs banker involved in the 1MDB scandal.

Ming and Aoki have both graduated

According to Insider, Aoki was accepted into Harvard when she was just 16. In May, Kimora posted a photo of her and daughter during Aoki’s graduation from the prestigious university with a double major – being the “youngest in recent history” to do so. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Aoki said she plans to take the LSATs to get into law school next.

Ming is as ambitious as her sister. Graduating from NYU in May, she told ET that she wants to use her degree to pursue her passion for fashion. “Hopefully, in the future, [I will be doing] something with my own fashion brand and just kind of staying around the fashion [world], because that’s what makes me really happy.”

Ming and Aoki have been modelling for their mum’s Baby Phat fashion brand, which launched in 1999, since they were kids.

Harvard grad Aoki – who studied classics and political science – said she had to balance her classes and exams in between flying in and out of Boston for her modelling career, according to her interview with Models.com. She has walked for Kim Shui and said she landed her gig with Tommy Hilfiger after “[running] into him [Hilfiger] at the Dior show”.

Aoki spoke up against her father

It appears that Kimora’s daughters have a rocky relationship with their father, Def Jam founder Russell Simmons. According to Insider, Aoki posted a video of Russell appearing to yell at her over FaceTime, writing, “This is not someone who will accept help.”

“This is just one screen recording. Sorry I don’t always remember to press ‘record’ when he calls my friends, my boyfriend, anyone, to get a chance to threaten and curse and go crazy,” she added. She then posted another video saying that she used to be close with her father, but he has “completely changed” in recent times.
