K-pop royalty Blackpink were guests at Buckingham Palace for a state banquet – and even got a special shout-out from King Charles himself.

On November 21, Buckingham Palace hosted a state banquet in honour of South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol and first lady Kim Keon-hee’s diplomatic visit to the United Kingdom, in an effort to strengthen ties between the two nations.

Blackpink’s Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé were among the notable guests at the event, alongside British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and members of the royal family, including Kate Middleton and Prince William.

The last girl group to be welcomed to the palace and visit Charles were the Spice Girls in 1997.

The “Pink Venom” singers attended the banquet as advocates for the UN’s sustainable development goals and ambassadors of the COP26 climate change conference, held in Glasgow, Scotland, in November 2021.

The quartet even received a shout-out from Charles during the king’s speech.

“I applaud Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé – better known collectively as Blackpink – for their role in bringing the message of environmental sustainability to a global audience as ambassadors for the UK’s presidency of COP26, and later as advocates for the UN’s sustainable development goals,” he said.

The girls looked fittingly regal in their gowns as they arrived at the palace. In true Jisoo fashion, the Dior princess arrived at the palace in a black puff-sleeved gown by Dior. Rosé also opted for a black dress, in her case with a sweetheart neckline. Jennie looked positively bridal in an elegant off-the-shoulder white gown. Lisa, the only one in a non-neutral ensemble, wore an aquamarine cape dress from Georges Hobeika.
