Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham celebrates her 50th birthday today, on April 17!

Ahead of the big milestone, Beckham shared a picture of herself on Instagram in a black bra and blazer combo, showing off her toned physique with a heartfelt message reflecting on her career, family and many accomplishments.

“As I get ready to step into 50 (in heels, of course!), I feel so incredibly blessed to have reached this milestone,” she wrote.

She also gave a shout-out to her husband David Beckham and their four kids. “David Beckham, I’m forever grateful for your unconditional love and support, and for our beautiful children. Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, Romeo Beckham, Cruz Beckham, Harper Seven Beckham, you complete me. I’m so proud, so in awe of the kind, hard-working, talented individuals you are all becoming.”

The fashion icon has managed to maintain her slim physique and flawless complexion over the decades and while juggling various job titles, thanks to her commitment to a strict diet and series of hardcore exercise routines.

Victoria Beckham keeps a strict gym routine

She’s a mum of four who runs a successful fashion empire and cosmetics line – it’s safe to say the Spice Girl keeps herself busy.

But that’s no excuse to skip a workout. According to The Guardian in 2019, VB spends two hours almost every day exercising. Her routine consists of a 7km run, a workout with a trainer and “loads of planks”. She said that working out is “a really positive thing” for her.

VB has at least one affordable trick she swears by: apple cider vinegar. In an Instagram Story, she shared her recipe, which involves mixing two tablespoons of ACV with fresh lemon squeezed into boiling water.

The fermented juice is said to help control blood sugar and help weight loss, with Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry and Hilary Duff also integrating the ingredient into their daily routine.

Another daily ingredient the “Wannabe” singer integrates into her regime is collagen peptide powder, which she adds to her coffee after workouts, she told W Magazine. The Skinade collagen drink is her product of choice, according to Hello!

Radiofrequency-based beauty treatments

The skincare guru, who runs cosmetics line Victoria Beckham Beauty, preps for Paris Fashion Week with this non-invasive facial by Nilam Holmes, reported Harper’s Bazaar.

The radiofrequency-based tightening facial from Collagenwave is said to give a plumper, brighter complexion. Holmes is also a celebrity facialist for Kris Jenner, Cher and Lady Gaga.

Sarah Chapman facials

The entrepreneur once told Net-a-Porter that she loves the Sarah Chapman Skinesis 3D Moisture Infusion Mask and uses it especially “on a bad face day”.

The sheet masks are said to help instantly soothe any redness while ensuring a plump and hydrated finish.

In her interview with Net-a-Porter, Posh said that she’s “fascinated with the German approach to health”.

“I went to Villa Stéphanie in Baden-Baden a few years ago and it was incredible. I wanted to improve my work-life balance and be more mindful,” she added.

The Beckham-approved estate is under the luxurious Oetker Collection umbrella and boasts state-of-the-art facilities coupled with a “life-changing” scientific approach to food and wellness.

Crystals for meditating

While healing crystals are considered to be a pseudoscience, many celebrities and wellness advocates alike integrate them into their everyday routines.

VB told Net-a-Porter that she uses crystals to help her sleep and keeps a handful beside her bed. “I hold them and try to meditate and relax,” she added.

A simple skincare routine

Beckham takes a less-is-more approach to skincare.

“Fewer, better products are the way to go. I don’t have the time or patience to be fiddling with 10 different products at a time,” she told Glamour. Some of her go-to products include an exfoliator from Dr. Barbara Sturm, a Victoria Beckham by Augustinus Bader Cell moisturiser and 111Skin eye masks, states the same source.

“Green monster” smoothie and daily dish

The “Mama” singer makes sure to keep her Beckham babies in check when it comes to health, as seen in the food-related stories she shares on Instagram.

Her famous “green monster smoothie” garnered plenty of attention. It comprises apple, kiwi, lemon, spinach and chia seeds, per Hello!

In an interview in 2022, David spilled the beans on his wife’s special diet on River Cafe Table 4 podcast, saying she’s been eating the simple dish of grilled fish and steamed veggies since they met, and that she’ll “very rarely deviate away from there”.

The Sleeping Vishnu pose

VB makes her leg-up pose look effortless, but it takes a fair bit of practice to get that flexible.

Known as the Anantasana or the Sleeping Vishnu pose (side-reclining leg lift) in yoga parlance, the posture requires a combination of strength and flexibility, per the Times of India.

Beckham has showed off her move on several occasions, including on the Ellen Show. The so-called “hussy pose” has also been replicated by fellow stars like Kourtney Kardashian and Kate Beckinsale.

Victoria’s aspiring chef son Brooklyn may be getting some heat for his cooking show, but the proud mum has continually showed support for him – and may even be willing to deviate from her diet to try his recipes.

Last February, she reposted a video of Brooklyn’s controversial steak soup, captioning it, “Harper is excited for me to attempt this tomorrow for dinner!”
