As Euro 2024 in Germany hots up, this French international – who idolised fellow fashionable footballer David Beckham growing up – is staying effortlessly cool despite his team being tipped by many to win the tournament.
One of the most expensive players in history, with more than 300 goals for club and country, he took the captain’s armband from France’s biggest star Kylian Mbappé (he of the watch collection that includes a limited edition Euros 2024 model) when the latter was sidelined due to a broken nose during the opening group stage.
Whatever the remaining games bring for him and his countrymen – the tournament runs until July 14 – Antoine Griezmann remains one of Europe’s most feared attackers on the field. His appearances off it also show a similar instinct for the killer touch as he regularly scores with understated yet polished separates.
