China’s annual 315 Gala uncovers illegal supply chain for sanitary pads made from waste
Chinese state broadcaster CCTV exposed the country’s latest consumer rights scandals at its 315 Gala on March 15, 2025.
The annual programme highlighted abuse cases in the consumer supply chain that provides products sold online, including frozen seafood, disposable underwear and sanitary pads – with some items singled out because they were made with waste materials.
