Coronavirus: watch Kilian Jornet’s Summits of My Life films for free, as runner helps fans stuck at home

  • The Spanish runner wants people stuck at home to still be inspired by the outdoors by watching his ‘Summits of My Life’ film series

Spanish ultra runner Kilian Jornet has made his film series Summits of My Life free for a week to make being stuck inside “more bearable” as the coronavirus outbreak prevents runners leaving the house.

“The outdoors are now indoors. Although what I like the most is being outside, current circumstances will force many of us to spend more time at home,” Jornet wrote on his blog.

The film series follows Jornet’s attempts to set the speed record on famous mountains around the world. Three films are available – Fine Line, Let Me Live and Langtang – although not the final instalment Path to Everest.

Fine Line follows Jornet’s climbs in the European Alps. Let me Live is also set in the Alps as Jornet climbs Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn. Langtang is different from the other films as Jornet helps in Nepal following the destruction caused by the 2015 earthquake.

“To make the moment more bearable and motivate you to train at home or to charge energy for later, we will offer you for free and for a week the films of the Summits of My Life project,” Jornet wrote on his blog.
