Racing Incident Report
Race Two: (281)-YIM TIN TSAI HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1600Metres
HEARTILY WINS was withdrawn on 26.12.15 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (left fore tendon injury).Before being allowed to race again, HEARTILY WINS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
THE PALADIN began only fairly.
DRAGON ENERGY shifted in at the start, resulting in WIN CHANCE being hampered.
From a wide barrier, WIN CHANCE was then steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Approaching the 900 Metres, AZTEC EMPIRE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of CHOICE EXCHEQUER.
Approaching the 500 Metres, BLISS CARTEL shifted out and brushed WIN CHANCE.
At the entrance to the Straight, BLISS CARTEL was momentarily steadied away from the heels of FOREST COLOURS which shifted out.
Approaching the 100 Metres, N Callan (JACK'S GEM) dropped his whip.
Throughout the race, DRAGON ENERGY travelled wide and without cover.
AZTEC EMPIRE and FOREST COLOURS were sent for sampling.

Favourite Aztec Empire stalked the leader Choice Exchequer, advanced to the front 200m out and kept on gamely to make it two on end following a step up to a mile. Forest Colours travelled one off the fence behind midfield, swung the final bend with two wider out and closed off willingly to snatch second 30m out. He might be able to get away with a win shortly if Joao Moreira sticks with him. Plunged late, Cruise Control landed a lovely spot near the inside in midfield, angled out four deep at the 400m, moved to second 50m out and had to settle for third in the end. Choice Exchequer easily led from a wide gate, turned a length on top and was yielding ground 100m out. Bliss Cartel made some ground without menacing after switching outside Forest Colours at the 220m following a patient ride fourth from the rear. Jack's Gem faded over the final 150m despite a box-seat run. Specked late, The Paladin was struggling 300m out following a rail's run worse than midfield following a sluggish break.
