Cool And Neat produced a ducking-and-weaving run in the stretch drive after finding his feet third from the rear from the widest gate to win going away 120m out for a first win at his eighth start. He had always promised without delivering but it was a superb ride by Joao Moreira to get him home on the back of a good pace and ring up number five from as many rides on the card for his jockey. Ambitious Heart found one better on the day after dashing well from midfield to poke his head in front 150m out. He's not far off a winning run. Wingold came on well following a rail's run behind midfield to just miss second. He has been competitive with a return to Class Four after a win in Class Five on New Year's Day but doesn't have many points in hand. Lightly-raced Planet Star peaked on his run 100m out after hitting the front 300m out following a box-seat run. The pace went against him in his first run over the 1,400m but he is headed in the right direction.

Race Six: (467)-MACAU-TAIPA BRIDGE HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Metres

VICTORY MUSIC, Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 4.3.17 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore).

Before being allowed to race again, VICTORY MUSIC will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

After being loaded into the barriers, NOBLE DE LOVE became fractious and reared, resulting in K Teetan being dislodged without incident.

NOBLE DE LOVE was removed from the barriers and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.

Before being allowed to race again, NOBLE DE LOVE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.

COOL AND NEAT began only fairly and then, from the outside barrier, was shifted across behind runners.

NOBLE DE LOVE was steadied from a wide barrier and taken across behind runners in the early stages.

BOLD STITCH began awkwardly and then when being ridden along to obtain a forward position got its head on the side and lay in onto the hindquarters of BO DUKE which became unbalanced and shifted in, resulting in CHIU CHOW KID and BONITO being crowded for room outside FURLONG DRAGON which shifted out after being brushed by GOOD METHOD.

Then despite being continuously ridden along, BOLD STITCH failed to muster speed.

In the early stages, CHIU CHOW KID got its head up and raced ungenerously.

Approaching the 900 Metres, FUN MANAGER became unbalanced of its own accord and for the major part of the race travelled wide and without cover.

FUN MANAGER lost its left front plate near the 850 Metres.

AMBITIOUS HEART was held up for clear running rounding the Home Turn and in the early part of the Straight.

Passing the 400 Metres, COOL AND NEAT was shifted in away from the heels of AMBITIOUS HEART to obtain clear running.

The performance of BONITO, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, BONITO will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of CHIU CHOW KID immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

A veterinary inspection of NOBLE DE LOVE immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained minor lacerations to the left and right front legs.

PLANET STAR, COOL AND NEAT and AMBITIOUS HEART were sent for sampling.
