Racing Incident Report
Race One: (227) - TO KWA WAN HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1650Meters
Shortly after the start, JOLLY AMBER raced tight between CASH COURIER and VICTORY FOLLOW ME which shifted in.
From the outside barriers, G-ONE UNION, GOLD TALENT and HALL OF FAME were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After travelling a short distance, TELECOM BOOM and GOLDEN CANNON were crowded for room between G-ONE UNION and RAINBOW GOLD which shifted out.
Approaching the 1100 Metres, FUN MANAGER got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of CELEBRATION.
After the 1100 Metres, VICTORY FOLLOW ME got its head up when being steadied to allow GOLDEN CANNON to cross.
After the 1000 Metres, VICTORY FOLLOW ME then travelled keenly when racing behind GOLDEN CANNON.
At the 600 Metres, TELECOM BOOM and G-ONE UNION raced tight as TELECOM BOOM shifted out to improve behind JOLLY AMBER.
After the 600 Metres, VICTORY FOLLOW ME was awkwardly placed close to the heels of GOLDEN CANNON.
Near the 550 Metres, FUN MANAGER was awkwardly placed behind CELEBRATION.
In the early part of the Straight, VICTORY FOLLOW ME got its head on the side and lay in under pressure.
After this, VICTORY FOLLOW ME continued to race with its head on the side.
A veterinary inspection of CASH COURIER and GOLD TALENT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
GOLDEN CANNON and JOLLY AMBER were sent for sampling.

Golden Cannon rushed forward from a wide gate to park outside the slow pace of Rainbow Gold, went to the lead 450m out and kept on gamely to just hold Jolly Amber for a first win with a return to the Valley. Jolly Amber closed the gap with every stride to make it a bob of heads on the wire after taking off 550m out from beyond midfield to sit second coming to the final bend. It was a vastly-improved run on his past form and he'll need to prove this wasn't a one-off effort. Telecom Boom kept up his good form this season to get up for a placing after travelling fourth from the rear despite the pace against him. Favourite Brilliant Monkeys ran on steadily without threatening in fourth following a midfield run. He's better suited at Sha Tin. Rainbow Gold gave way over the last 150m despite setting a ridiculously slow pace after clearing to the front from a wide gate at the 1,200m. He's shown some life signs in his past three starts and may be near a bottom.
