Racing Incident Report
Race Two: (578) - KOWLOON BAY HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1800Meters
GOLDEN KID was slow to begin.
LOADED began awkwardly.
DAZZLE WINNER and AMAZING GOLD bumped on jumping.
From wide barriers, HOLY UNICORN and CELEBRATION were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
When being ridden along in the early stages, ISLAND FLYER got its head up on a number of occasions.
Making the turn after the 800 Metres, ISLAND FLYER got its head on the side and shifted out towards the heels of CELEBRATION, resulting in ISLAND FLYER being checked and losing ground.
Passing the 300 Metres, GOLDEN KID and DAZZLE WINNER bumped as a result of both horses shifting slight ground.
This resulted in both GOLDEN KID and DAZZLE WINNER becoming badly unbalanced and DAZZLE WINNER shifting out towards the heels of SAVANNAH WIND and being checked.
As the Stewards were satisfied that this incident was not caused by rider error, no further action was taken.
Approaching the 250 Metres, HOLY UNICORN was shifted to the outside of THE JOY OF GIVING after being disappointed for running inside that horse.
Passing the 200 Metres, GOLDEN KID was awkwardly placed outside the heels of FRUITFUL LIFE.
A veterinary inspection of LOADED immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of DAZZLE WINNER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.
LOADED, SAVANNAH WIND and MY BLESSING were sent for sampling.

Early favourite Savannah Wind responded well when asked for a response following a one-off run worse than midfield to overhaul My Blessing for a second Class Five win this term. My Blessing kept on clearly for second after getting a soft time in front. He relished a return to Class Five. Golden Kid ran on steadily following a rail run in midfield to snatch third on the wire to continue his good form of late following a move to visors. Pearl Furu only plodded with every chance in the box-seat. He rarely runs a bad race at this level but has trouble potting the big one. The Joy Of Giving finished well near the inside following a rail run behind midfield in his best run from 11 starts. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come. Late-fancied favourite Loaded ran on without menacing travelling one off beyond midfield. The big weight and moderate early fractions went against him. Celebration got too far back from a wide gate. He's one to keep safe from a better draw.
