Racing Incident Report
Race Five: (793) - SWEET ORANGE HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1800Meters
As the start was effected, MULTI FACETS reared and lost a considerable amount of ground.
Before being allowed to race again, MULTI FACETS will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.
WILLIE WAY began only fairly.
Shortly after the start, TRAVEL FIRST and NAMJONG PLUS were crowded for room between HIGH VOLATILITY and DYNAMIC EAGLE which shifted in after beginning awkwardly.
In this incident, NAMJONG PLUS bumped the hindquarters of TRAVEL FIRST which became unbalanced and shifted out before being corrected and which resulted in NAMJONG PLUS striking the heels of TRAVEL FIRST AND blundering.
From the outside barrier, FAITHFUL TRINITY was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the 1200 Metres, HAR HAR HEART was left racing wide and without cover and passing the 850 Metres was allowed to improve its position into the lead passing the 700 Metres.
Making the turn near the 550 Metres, DYNAMIC EAGLE was awkwardly placed behind MULTI FACETS.
At the entrance to the Straight, NAMJONG PLUS was awkwardly placed close to the heels of WILLIE WAY when being shifted to the outside of that horse to obtain clear running.
Near the 250 Metres, MULTI FACETS raced tight between TRAVEL FIRST and HAPPY SPIRIT when improving into running between those horses.
Close to the finishing line, WILLIE WAY raced tight inside NAMJONG PLUS and consequently was not able to be ridden out close to the finishing line.
A veterinary inspection of SKY MELODY immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm.
Before being allowed to race again, SKY MELODY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of MULTI FACETS and MCQUEEN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SKY MELODY, NAMJONG PLUS and TEN FLAMES were sent for sampling.

In a race run to suit the sweepers, Namjong Plus came on strongly travelling third from the rear to overhaul Ten Flames 10m out for a third win at his first Valley start in a very promising first campaign. Ten Flames found one too good after quickening nicely to poke his head in front from behind midfield 50m out. He's returned to form in his past two starts. Willie Way finished nicely to grab third settling one from the back. He never runs bad races on either surface and might be near a bottom. Faithful Trinity got up nicely for fourth after setting last from a wide gate. He isn't far off a win over this course at a mile or 1,800m if he can draw a proper gate. In the betting late, Dynamic Eagle ran on without menacing on the fence behind midfield. He went all right but is still trying to find a bottom. Har Har Heart stirred things up when taking off travelling midfield to lead 750m out but was stopping 100m out. He's had a lot of racing and is likely on or near his mark.
