And the Hongkonger’s sensational three-set win over Australian Open semi-finalist Ben Shelton in the Miami Open has local fans dreaming of a long run in the tournament.

Who is Adam Walton?
The 25-year-old is ranked 89th in the world, almost 100 places higher than the 182nd-ranked Wong, and has played in the first round of all four grand slam tournaments.
Last year, he beat Federico Coria in straight sets in the first round at Wimbledon before losing to Argentine Francisco Comesana in a five-set tie break. Later in 2024, he reached a career-high ATP ranking of world No 86.
Walton qualified for the Miami Open as a lucky loser and beat Italian Luciano Darderi in straight sets in the second round.

The pair are scheduled to meet on Monday, March 24, at 11pm Hong Kong time, on Court 1. That is 1am Tuesday in Walton’s hometown of Brisbane, 3pm Monday in London, and 11am in Miami.
