Updates: With 134 votes, Oreo's ice cream sandwich beat out Kit Kat's ice cream bar, which received 72 votes. Check out Round 1’s rankings and winners

Esther Cheung and Amalissa Hall hopped on Instagram Live to taste, discuss, and rank four ice creams based on these categories: Sweetness, Texture, Practicality and Originality.

If you missed that, we’ve summarised our points below, but don’t let that affect your own decision. It’s your choice which ice creams go to the next round, and which one will ultimately win.

Kit Kat Ice Cream Bar vs. Oreo Ice Cream Sandwich

Deciding between these two is tricky, because it’s all about your chocolate preference. If you like crispy, chocolatey and smooth ice cream Kit Kat is for you. The simple, malty flavored ice cream interior complements the bold crunchy exterior too. It’s also a large ice cream, so definitely good if you want bang for your buck!

Sweetness: 4/5

Texture: 5/5

Practicality: 4/5

Originality: 3/5

If you like a deep, rich, chocolatey and nostalgic experience, the Oreo sandwich is hard to beat. The biscuit is more cake-y than biscuit-y, and cookies n’ creme ice cream filling amplify the Oreo flavours. The sandwich shape is easy to hold and fun to eat.

Melona Ice Pop vs. Tiger Sugar’s Black Sugar Boba Milk Tea Ice Bar

The Melona is a crowd pleaser, and walks the line of fruity and creamy. With lots of flavours to choose from, the melon is still a strong favourite. It’s a very sensory experience, and the melon is fragrant but not overpoweringly sweet. The texture of the ice cream is smooth, but has an almost chewy mouthfeel to it which is delightful.

Sweetness: 4/5

Texture: 5/5

Practicality: 3/5

Originality: 5/5

Tiger Sugar’s bubble tea ice cream bar was unbelievably and almost unbearably sweet. But, there was also a delicious roasted and almost nutty flavour to it, due to the black sugar. What amazed us most were the bubble tea pearls, which were perfectly squishy and not frozen at all. But, the bar did melt really quickly, so this could be a messy one for sure.

Sweetness: 10/5

Texture: 4/5

Practicality: 2/5

Originality: 5/5
