Year 2 students at the Institute of Tourism Studies in Macau are organising the Slow Food Awards 2010 on Friday, December 3. Slow Food is a non-profit association founded in Paris in 1989. It promotes food which is good, clean and fair, and works at changing our attitude towards eating. It has now supporters and organisations in 150 countries around the world.

With these first Macau awards, the idea is to reward local restaurants and food suppliers on their efforts to meet slow food objectives. The award ceremony will be followed by a food gala dinner.

The Institute is inviting two junior reporters to attend this event. If you'd like to take part, send an email to [email protected] with 'snail' in the subject field. Include your full name, age, school, contact number and a few lines on what slow food means to you.

Ferry tickets will also be provided, and the two lucky junior reporters will be accompanied by one YP team member.
